Sage & Social is a modern farmhouse barn wedding venue in Mulino, Oregon which is located in the rolling hills of Willamete Valley. Mulino is surrounded by lush farmland with views of the Cascade Mountains in the distance.
Let’s discuss where exactly this insanely gorgeous venue is and how you can get there!
The closest town would be Molalla, OR which is about 5.5 miles SW of the venue. Molalla is also a smaller, rural town (although still larger than Mulino!) so the next major city would be Oregon City which is 16 miles NW of the property.
The closest international airport is going to be Portland International Airport (PDX) which is about 33 miles north of Sage & Social. On a typical day, you can get to the venue in about 45 minutes from the airport, but on weekends you always want to account for an extra hour or so for the traffic coming out of Portland! To get to the farmhouse wedding venue from PDX, you will get on I-205 South for 15 miles. Then take exit 10 onto OR-213 South, continuing for about 3.2 miles where you will turn left onto Beavercreek Rd. You will continue on to S Beavercreek Rd in another 3.7 miles and then proceed to the venue in about 10 miles!
You can also view the directions from the airport here!
Now let’s dive into exactly why you’ll definitely want this to be your modern farmhouse wedding venue! Here are a few of all the best features of this gorgeous modern wedding venue:
Sage & Social provides not only a 3,000 square foot climate controlled barn, but the look and feel of the entire event space is unlike any other in the area! This modern farmhouse wedding venue is absolutely one of a kind and will blow your guests away. From the ground up, the owners have created a venue that is thoughtfully designed to give you the absolute best experience possible. From the dimmable lights, ceiling fans, covered patio, on site restrooms, and so much more!
If you’re coming from Portland or even Eugene, then you’ll love getting to experience the peaceful and rural town of Mulino. The town’s population is less than 3,000 so you won’t see much hustle and bustle like you would in a city. With the actual venue property being on 20 acres, you will have total privacy for you and your guests! The only other building nearby is the owner’s private residence. If you’re searching for a quiet and secluded wedding venue that isn’t too far from a major city, then Sage & Social is PERFECT!
Choosing a venue that has different ceremony and reception location options is such an amazing idea and I love recommending these venues to clients for a multitude of reasons. The number one being is that a wedding can come with lots of unpredictable factors (i.e. our crazy PNW weather) and having some options in your back pocket on the day of will definitely give you a peace of mind. Sage & Social offers both indoor and outdoor locations for your modern farmhouse wedding!
I love recommending venues that you could book during any season because it really opens up more opportunities for dates. While Sage & Social’s event space is so beautiful in the summer months, it definitely shines during the fall and winter as well. With an exceptionally large indoor area and a 20’x60’ covered patio, you’re basically set for any kind of weather. They provide two propane fire pits and four tall propane heaters to keep your guests cozy outside while enjoying some drinks and dessert. Another great option for both hot or rainy days is the two 10’x20’ pop-up tents that are included in your rental and can give additional coverage for your guests!
I love it when venues offer dressing rooms for the couple to get ready in—it really simplifies the process for you and your wedding party to have a relaxed time preparing for the big day! At Sage & Social, you’ll have a private dressing suite where you can get ready with your wedding party, enjoying some calm before the guests arrive. This suite is complimentary with your rental, so there are no extra fees to worry about.
One of the great parts of this venue is they let you pick the vendors of your choice! At Social & Social, they do not require you to hire their preferred vendors or charge you an additional fee for using an outside vendor. This helps tremendously to take some pressure off with the planning process and creating your unique dream team for your wedding day.
The owners behind this incredible modern farmhouse venue are actually a real family who have poured their hearts into creating a warm and inviting space to host your guests while you celebrate saying your “I do’s!” Staci and Devyn are a mother and daughter who dreamed up the brainchild that is Sage & Social along with their husbands to provide the perfect modern farmhouse wedding venue. Staci (the mother) is a gem of a human who is a total social butterfly, lover of tattoos, soaking up the outdoors, and a good cup of coffee. Staci is who you’ll be in contact with to schedule walk through’s, ask questions, and more. Devyn (the daughter) is actually the on-site event designer! For an additional fee, Devyn will help style and design your wedding With her epic collection of rentals, you can create your ultimate Pinterest wedding of your dreams!
