If you’ve ever dreamed of a wedding that feels like summer bottled up—warm breeze, bright florals, and views that make your heart skip then a Cape Horn Estate wedding is your sign from the universe. Emily and Hunter tied the knot on August 30th, 2025, surrounded by hydrangeas, laughter, and all the golden-hour magic the Columbia River Gorge could offer.
From her effortless calm that morning to their Charli XCX grand entrance, their day was the perfect mix of emotional, elegant, and fulllll of good vibes. SO let’s relive this dreamy summer celebration together!
The day began inside the estate in the bridal suite–bright windows, soft chatter, and coffee in hand. Emily was the picture of calm. Not a hint of stress, just peaceful excitement. She got ready with her favorite people—her best friends, family, and her mom—before slipping into her gown for a quiet, tear-filled moment together.
Meanwhile, Hunter prepped downstairs with his guys, trading stories and tying ties as anticipation built. Every corner of the property buzzed with joyful energy!!
Instead of a first look with her groom, Emily chose one with her dad, Mike. This easily was one of those moments you feel deep in your chest. Her maid of honor Cassie walked with her, cracking jokes and holding her train as they made their way down the paved path to where Mike was tucked in the garden.
When her dad turned around, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. The laughter and tears tangled together perfectly—exactly the kind of joy this day was made of.
Once everyone was ready, we rolled right into wedding party portraits that struck the perfect balance between editorial and playful. Think laughter between poses, stolen glances, cheerleader moves, and a crew that knew how to have a good time! Some of my favorite images were the in-between ones—Emily and Hunter laughing with family, sneaking a kiss when they thought no one was looking, or simply taking in the moment. And can we just talk about Emily’s bridal portraits for a minute? Unrealllll. She radiated the kind of confidence that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. She is someone that is gorgeous inside and out which makes for such an incredible bride to work with.
When it was time for the ceremony, guests gathered among the hydrangeas in full summer bloom. Behind them, the Columbia River Gorge stretched endlessly–a breathtaking backdrop that made the moment feel completely cinematic and breathtaking.
As Emily walked down the aisle, Hunter’s entire face lit up. He’s a naturally reserved guy, but that smile said it all. Their ceremony was sweet, intentional, and full of laughter, with all their favorite people watching as they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Radcliffe.
One of the stars of the day? The florals. Farmhouse Floral and Gifts outdid themselves with colorful, lush summer blooms that felt like sunshine. From Emily’s bouquet to the garden-style arrangement that highlighted the ceremony arbor, everything felt romantic and grounded in the season.
At the reception, each table featured photos of Emily and Hunter at the same age growing up–a sentimental detail that had guests smiling all night. I love this concept because it was such a simple yet powerful way to bring their stories together and remind everyone just how far they’d come as a couple!
Once the vows were sealed, the real party began. Emily and Hunter’s grand entrance to Charli XCX instantly set the tone for the night—high-energy, unapologetically fun, and full of personality.
Hunter’s brother Hayden gave a heartfelt toast, followed by sweet, funny speeches from Cassie and Taylor that had everyone alternating between laughter and tears. From there, it was an all-ages dance floor takeover: toddlers to grandparents, everyone got in on the action.
Even though the day started overcast, the Cape Horn Estate delivered the most jaw-dropping sunset–warm pinks and reds glowing over the Gorge. Emily and Hunter slipped away for a few quiet minutes, soaking it all in as the day softened into night. And because no wedding for a self-proclaimed Swiftie would be complete without it, we filmed the iconic “But daddy, I love him!” TikTok moment–because duh Emily wouldn’t have it any other way!
There’s something special about photographing weddings here. Between the sweeping Gorge views, the private gardens, and the easy-going elegance of the venue, a Cape Horn Estate wedding hits the sweet spot of natural beauty and timeless romance. If you’re dreaming of a Columbia River Gorge wedding that feels intentional yet laid-back—where you can spend the morning getting ready on-site, exchange vows in a garden, and dance the night away under the stars—this is your spot!
