Some love stories take a little time to find their rhythm. Kels and Levi first met years ago slinging coffee side by side at Dutch Bros, but it wasn’t until about four years ago–after both had walked through seasons of personal growth and healing, that their paths truly aligned. From the very beginning of their rekindled relationship, it was clear: these two are the definition of a couple who shows up. They cheer for each other’s victories, hold space for one another’s grief, and walk through life with a deep, unshakable kind of support.
Last February, Levi proposed on the shores of Hawaii with Kelsey’s best friend hiding in the bushes to capture the moment (and pop out to celebrate afterward, of course!). This was such a perfect reflection of who they are: joyful, intentional, and always making room for the people they love most!!
When it came time to plan their Oregon intimate wedding at Mount Tom House in Harrisburg, Kelsey’s creativity and resourcefulness shined. She runs a successful thrifting resale business with Levi called Lucky In Love Vintage, so it only made sense that nearly every detail of their day from the decor, to her wedding dress, to her hot pink mule block heels… was thrifted! Not only was this an incredible way to save money, but it also reflected a larger vision of planning a wedding with low environmental impact. Low-waste weddings are becoming more and more popular, and Kels and Levi’s celebration was such a beautiful example of how intentional choices can feel both stylish and sustainable.
The day began slowly and tenderly. Kelsey and Levi wrote their vows side by side, soaking in the stillness before the celebration. They got ready surrounded by their siblings and closest friends, laughter spilling through the house as anticipation grew. One of the most emotional moments of the day came when Kelsey shared a first look with her son, Kaiser. This was a quiet, powerful reminder of everything she has worked so hard for–to build a life filled with stability, joy, and love for him. Watching his face light up when he saw his mom as a bride was enough to make anyone on earth tear up.
Their ceremony was the kind that stays with you forever. Levi’s dad stood as their officiant, which made the moment feel deeply personal. As Kelsey and her son Kaiser walked down through the meadow together, Levi’s eyes welled with tears…and his dad’s did too. This was definitely a moment layered with so much meaning: the joining of two families, the honoring of the journey that led them there, and the start of something new.
With an intimate number of 10 guests present, Kelsey and Levi chose a circular seating arrangement, creating an intimate space where everyone felt truly a part of their vows. The ceremony held space for everything. From heartfelt tears, bursts of laughter, and the kind of connection you can only find in a setting so close knit and intentional. This is exactly what makes an Oregon intimate wedding so special: the chance to slow down and make every guest, every glance, and every emotion count.
If the ceremony was tender, the reception was pure celebration. Kels and her best friends sang TLC’s No Scrubs at the top of their lungs, hands linked as they ran barefoot through the lawn–a nostalgic glimpse of girlhood joy on a wedding day. Her brother Dustin took over as DJ, spinning 80s and 90s hits that had every single guest dancing and singing their hearts out.
One of the sweetest moments came when Kelsey and her son Kai shared the lawn together, rapping along to a favorite song. It was playful, full of laughter, and such a perfect reflection of the bond they share. That memory will no doubt be one of the most cherished snapshots from the day—proof that weddings are just as much about family as they are about romance.
As the night came to a close, everyone sprawled across the lawn on blankets, stargazing together under the Oregon sky. Concluding this as the perfect ending to a day that honored everything Kelsey and Levi value: love, family, sustainability, and a wedding that felt like them. Here’s to the Mondry’s! xx
